So a very talented blog designer is having a give-away and I really want to win! Her name is April and she's located at AprilShowersBlogDesign.com. I've seen many blogs designed by her and I love them! I've also added a button of hers on the sidebar of this blog, so scroll down and see how cute her designs are!
Today we looked for something age-appropriate to do with Jeffy. We found lots of indoor soft play areas, but they all cost money and we found out there was one oat the mall for free, so we went to the mall! There was a big fountain in the middle and we all had a lot of fun tossing in pennies. Well, Jeffy didn't really toss them, he just kind of scooted them off the rail. But he had a lot of fun anyways. :)
The play area was a lot of fun too. It was horse-themed, just like everything else in this town. :) I didn't get any pictures of that, since the fountain picture took my last spot on the camera. I'm sure we'll go back.
Hello world. I have started a new blog. It's about me on my path to become the new me. Or maybe the old me. Probably a mix between the two.
Anyways, it's time for me to fix my life and get my body healthy again. I've started this blog as a way for me record my progress and hopefully find some support in the blogging universe.
I'm really putting myself out there--recording real weights and BMIs. I'm kind of nervous about that. It's very scary to share bits of yourself like that when you're not all that enthusiastic about what they contain. Please support me and tell me that I can do it, and that you're not ashamed to be my friend when you find out how much I weigh.
(and the very insecure little girl in me hopes that you will never, ever reveal this information to any boy, ever. boys are not invited to this club.)
Along with putting Easter on hold (see below), our exploration around Saratoga Springs has also been postponed. So instead, I took some pictures of the town from our car as we were driving home from breakfast. A few of them turned out good enough to post, so here ya go!
Holidays never seem to work out the way I want them to. We had a fun start with the kids getting their Easter baskets, but then we went out to breakfast, and on the way home, Jeffy threw up everywhere. He threw up last night too, but I had hoped that it was just a one-time deal. No such luck. So since anything in his tummy seems to make him barf, I think we're going to have to hold off on the Easter Egg Hunt until he can eat food again.
Wow, it's already April! The couple of weeks since my last post have flown by. I guess that's what happens when you're super busy. But, the busyness isn't quite over. We're here, but we're not moved in. Almost everything is still in the garage. I think a lot of it is going to stay there, but there are definitely some things that need to be unpacked soon. The only problem is that our home and our garage are not attached, and not even super close, so I don't feel comfortable going out there and leaving the kids inside, so that leaves most of it on Jeff, or for me to do when he's home. But we'll get there eventually.
So far I'm still ambivalent about New York. I got here Sunday afternoon, and yesterday (Thursday) was the first time I saw even a glimmer of sunshine! I'm sure it won't stay like that (hear the optimism there?!!) but I hope the suns comes out and stays out soon. It makes a big difference in my attitude.
It's still winter-ish here, but once spring does come, I think it will be very pretty. It definitely looks like it has a lot of potential to be green. I think once we're all settled in, we'll be happy here. But we'll probably only be here for 8 months, anyway. Ah, the joys of military life. :)
This weekend we're going to go out and explore Saratoga Springs and I'll post pictures so you all will want to come visit!! :)
